The transformation of the functions of associativity into a cooperative of cartoneros: from representation to productive work
Abstract
In recent decades, urban waste recovery and cooperative training processes have been the subject of numerous analyzes. However, there are not many studies that investigate the heterogeneity of the recuperative cooperatives in the city of Buenos Aires and the specificity of each training process. As a way to begin to raise this question, we intend to investigate the process of forming a cooperative in the period 2001-2015, identifying their particularities and giving an account of the effects that has had on the cartoneros the participation in this new form of Associativity. We are also interested in analyzing the subjective transformations of the actors themselves in relation to the associative processes. The questions from which we started are what they were associated with, for what they formed cooperatives.
