China, Latin America and the geopolitics of the New Silk Road
Abstract
This book shows a wide range of approaches of specialists to analyze the Silk Road, also called OBOR (One Road one belt) or BRI (Belt and Road Initiative). The BRI started in 2013 with the announcement of President Xi Jinping of a land trade route between China and Europe, to which a maritime route was added unites China with South Asia and with Africa. Newly then he joined that plan in Latin America teacher that includes infrastructure investments and financing to redirect trade to world level, becoming the great Project of the century in the perspective of China.
