Eroding union power in Argentina, 2015-2018
Abstract
The article focuses on both the Ministry of Labor,
Employment and Social Security (MTEySS) strategies
and decisions of the Judiciary, through a number
of emblematic cases, under the hypothesis thatthey were aimed at disciplining trade union organizations.
To this end, provisions and resolutions of the
MTEySS and judicial decisions have been relieved,
from December 2015 to September 2018, when
(MTEySS) was downgraded to the administrative
level of Secretary. This flow of information allows us
to understand the strategy carried out by the State
in labor union matters and in particular the way in
which anti-union practices were implemented.
