The policy networks approach: theoretical and methodological notes for the analysis of the regulatory process of the Migration Act No. 25871
Abstract
In 2003 the Republic of Argentina amended its immigration legislation after more than twenty years of persisting with a highly restrictive immigration border policy. This work aims to reconstruct the regulatory process of the current Argentinean
Immigration Act No 25871 (2004-2010). To accomplish this task we used the theoretical methodological perspective of policy networks or “public policy networks” as a complement to rethink the relationship between state, public policy and interest organizations, as well as other agents outside the government.
