Abstract

Publications based on research made to a population of 18,472 students from different university careers were analyzed. It is observed that students manifest stressful situations related to the environment in which the teacher must be the mediator of said situation, however, students whose previous academic performance is good and with high self-esteem, manifest a lower level of stress because they show greater optimism in academic situations. Student with low self-esteem manifest high levels of stress which can be increased by factors such as negative climate and poorly directed educational processes.
