Ruptures and reconfigurations in the post-pandemic Argentine higher education system: virtualization, "new normality" and redefinitions in the face of a new educational paradigm
Abstract
For several decades, and linked to the development of ICTs, a phenomenon has been taking place that becomes exponential with the advancement of new information technologies. A modality that has grown significantly in Higher Education is distance education, which implies teacher-student separation and which currently takes the form of virtual education. Due to the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic, which affected the world in 2020, as a way to safeguard public health and given the need for distancing that prevented the normal functioning of Higher Education, in most countries it occurred unexpectedly. the temporary cessation of face-to-face activities in Higher Education Institutions, forcibly moving to a distance, virtual modality, thus rearranging university education with still uncertain results.
