The wretched of the cloud: Capital’s twofold siege on labor and State autonomy

  • Pamela Vanesa Bravo UNLa

Abstract

The article focusses on the reconfigurations in the rela tionship between the state, capital, and labor within the framework of contemporary digital-financial capitalism. Based on a theoretical-documentary analysis of specialized literature, it reconstructs the transformations of capitalism in the context opened by the process of neoliberalization. The idea of a “twofold siege” is proposed to explain the articulation between the restriction of state autonomy and labor fragmentation as dimensions of a single dispositive of domination. It is argued that the convergence of digitaliza tion and financialization generates a cumulative effect that reorganizes social hierarchies, redefines the conditions of po litical contestation, and consolidates new forms of structural domination, expressed in a dual process of depoliticization and social deproletarianization.
