Citizen Security and Tourism: A Review Methodology

Abstract

This work proposes to carry out a systematic review with the application of the PRISMA method on the state of tourism and its link with citizen security. The search focused on articles in Spanish from journals published less than ten years old, found in five databases. To facilitate discussion, the articles were grouped into two groups: those on territorial analysis and those that focus on the analysis of traveler's intangibles; evidencing a relationship where some violent situations generate a climate of insecurity and, therefore, a negative perception that can inhibit travel and tourism.
