Reflexiones sobre la pobreza, sus causas, y el capital social.
Abstract
Even if the worldwide and nationwide economic transformations explain the rise of employment matters, and therefore, the social detriment which comes along, sectors linked to the so-called neoliberal politics emphasize the individual responsibilities of the affected ones based on their lack of capacities and assets.
While social capital theory does not take a critical stance on the regressive transformations and the historical ties between capitalist accumulation and poverty, it legitimizes the present economic order - hence it cannot provide with a solution for the inequalities and impoverishment that it produces.
