Revisiting the legacy of Fals Borda and the militant-investigation: Considerations from its historical, ideological and methodological framework
Abstract
We propose to recover the legacy of "participatory action research" (IAP), in the historical, social and political context in which it originated as well as in the developments that followed. The scope of the so-called "militant investigation" in which the IAP is part is examined. From this, the thought and some references of the work of Fals Borda, the main reference of this current, are located. Finally, a brief characterization of the operational and methodological aspects of the IAP is offered, as well as a critical review of some of its ideological, methodological and political assumptions.
