Peer Review Process
All submissions to Perspectivas Metodológicas undergo a double-blind peer review process, meaning that neither authors nor reviewers are aware of each other’s identities.
Reviews are carried out by external specialists selected based on their academic background and expertise in the article’s subject area. Review criteria include originality, argumentative clarity, methodological coherence, and thematic relevance in line with the Editorial Board's guidelines.
The review process includes the following stages:
-
Preliminary review by the Editorial Board to verify compliance with the journal’s guidelines, thematic relevance, originality, and absence of plagiarism (checked using iThenticate).
-
Assignment of external reviewers, who provide anonymous reports.
-
Possible outcomes include: acceptance without changes, acceptance with revisions, or rejection with justification.
-
If revisions are requested, the author must submit a new version of the manuscript, which may be subject to further review.
