Editorial Policies
Open Access, No Fees, and Continuous Publication Model
Perspectivas Metodológicas (eISSN 2618-4125) is committed to open access policies regarding scientific knowledge, based on the understanding that both academic journals and publicly funded research should circulate freely, openly, and without restrictions on the Internet.
The journal guarantees open access, in full text and without temporary embargoes, to all its published contents. It has an annual periodicity and operates under a continuous publication model, which means that articles are edited and published individually as they are approved, without waiting for the closure of a complete issue. This modality allows for the faster dissemination of knowledge and reduces the circulation time of scientific output.
There are no charges for authors related to editorial processing, proofreading, editing, publication, or distribution. The journal is funded by the Universidad Nacional de Lanús.
Copyright & license
The authors grant the National University of Lanús, on a non-exclusive basis, the economic rights over the work submitted for publication, providing a free license to exercise, through print and/or digital means, the rights of reproduction, distribution, publication, public communication, making available, transmission, and/or deposit in the institutional repository and/or on the university’s website. This license does not transfer the moral rights over the work, which remain with the author. Authors are free to disseminate the final published version (post-print) in institutional repositories, personal blogs, or any other electronic medium, provided that the original source of publication is properly cited.
Both the journal Perspectivas Metodológicas and its contents are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows users to:
-
Share: copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format for any purpose, even commercially.
-
Adapt: remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.
As long as the following conditions are met:
-
Proper attribution is given to the original author(s).
-
A link to the license is provided.
-
It is indicated whether any changes were made.
-
No additional legal or technological restrictions are applied that would limit the uses permitted by the license.
Peer Review
All submitted manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review, meaning that neither authors nor reviewers are aware of each other's identities during the process. Evaluations are carried out by external specialists based on criteria of quality, originality, methodological rigor, and thematic relevance as defined by the Editorial Committee.
Editorial Ethics
Perspectivas Metodológicas adheres to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and promotes high standards of research integrity. All manuscripts are screened using iThenticate software to detect potential cases of plagiarism or self-plagiarism. Articles that fail to meet originality requirements are rejected without exception.
If a submission is derived from research or actions involving individuals or communities, the corresponding documentation of informed consent and safeguards for participants' rights and confidentiality must be provided.
Perspectivas Metodológicas endorses the principles of the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA). As an open access scientific journal, we are committed to promoting responsible research assessment practices, focusing on the intrinsic quality of research outputs rather than journal-based impact metrics. This commitment reinforces our mission to disseminate rigorous, inclusive, and critical knowledge in the field of epistemology and research methodology in the social sciences and humanities.
Self-archiving policies
All versions of the article (accepted version and published version) may be deposited in repositories, blogs, institutional webpages, or any other electronic media, without temporary embargoes (see Sherpa/Romeo).
Digital Preservation
Perspectivas Metodológicas ensures long-term preservation of its contents through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), which uses the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system. This system guarantees that published files remain accessible and available even in the event of data loss at the original site.
Sponsorship
The journal is fully funded by the Universidad Nacional de Lanús. It does not accept advertising or external funding, and all editorial tasks are carried out by an academic team affiliated with the university.
