Open Access, Free Access, and Publication Frequency

Perspectivas Metodológicas (eISSN 2618-4125) is committed to open-access policies for scientific information, based on the principle that both academic journals and publicly funded research should circulate freely online, free of charge and without access barriers.

The journal provides immediate, full-text open access to all published content, with no embargo periods. It is published annually, with one volume and one issue per year. Papers that successfully complete the peer-review and editorial processes are progressively incorporated into the current issue until the issue corresponding to the following year is opened. This model facilitates the timely dissemination of knowledge and reduces the time required for scholarly communication.

Authors are not charged any fees for editorial processing, proofreading, editing, publication, or distribution of accepted manuscripts. The journal is funded by the National University of Lanús.

Copyright and License

Authors grant the National University of Lanús, on a non-exclusive basis, the economic rights necessary for the publication of the submitted work, providing a royalty-free license to exercise, through print and/or digital media, the rights of reproduction, distribution, publication, public communication, making available, transmission, and/or deposit in the institutional repository and/or on the University’s website. This license does not transfer the moral rights to the work, which remain with the author.

Authors may freely disseminate the final published version in institutional repositories, personal blogs, or any other electronic medium, provided that the original source of publication is properly acknowledged.

Both Perspectivas Metodológicas and its contents are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows users to:

• Share: copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format for any purpose, including commercial purposes.
• Adapt: remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial purposes.

Provided that the following conditions are met:

• Appropriate credit is given to the original author.
• A link to the applicable license is provided.
• Any changes made to the material are indicated.
• No additional legal or technological restrictions are applied that would limit the uses permitted by the license.

Peer Review

All manuscripts received by the journal undergo a double-blind peer-review process, which means that neither authors nor reviewers are aware of each other’s identities during the evaluation process. Reviews are conducted by external specialists and are based on criteria of quality, originality, methodological rigor, and thematic relevance established by the Editorial Committee.

Editorial Ethics

Perspectivas Metodológicas follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and promotes high standards of research integrity.

All manuscripts are checked using iThenticate software to identify similarities and possible cases of plagiarism or self-plagiarism. When potential breaches of originality or academic integrity are identified, the Editorial Committee will proceed in accordance with the journal’s ethical policies and COPE recommendations.

When a submitted manuscript derives from research or activities involving individuals or groups, authors must report that informed consent was obtained and, where applicable, that approval was granted by the relevant ethics committee or competent body. The rights, anonymity, and confidentiality of participants must also be protected.

Perspectivas Metodológicas adheres to the principles of the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA). As an open-access scientific journal, it is committed to promoting responsible research assessment practices focused on the intrinsic quality of research rather than on journal-based impact metrics. This commitment reinforces its mission to disseminate rigorous, inclusive, and critical knowledge in the fields of epistemology and research methodology in the social sciences and humanities.

Self-Archiving Policy

All versions of an article —the accepted version and the published version— may be deposited in repositories, blogs, institutional websites, or any other electronic medium without embargo periods.

Digital Preservation

Perspectivas Metodológicas ensures the long-term preservation of its contents through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), based on the LOCKSS system (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe). This system helps ensure that published files remain accessible and available even in the event of data loss on the original website.

Funding

The journal is fully funded by the National University of Lanús. It does not accept advertising or external funding, and its editorial processes are carried out by an academic team with institutional appointments.

Direct Marketing

Perspectivas Metodológicas does not engage in commercial direct-marketing activities or indiscriminate manuscript solicitation. Communications addressed to prospective authors are relevant and transparent and are consistent with the journal’s academic scope and subject areas.
