Editorial

This section is intended to guide the reader through the main theme of each journal issue. It serves as a reference for the editorial line, areas of interest, and connections with UNLa’s Institutes, Centers, Departments, and other institutions, as well as research projects associated with the articles.

Specifications:

  • Title in Spanish and English

  • Maximum length: 2,000 words

  • Citations and references in APA 7th edition

 

Articles

Articles must align with the topic defined in each call for papers. Submissions must be original, unpublished, written in Spanish, and not under review elsewhere. They will undergo double-blind peer review. The journal uses iThenticate software to check for originality.

Specifications:

  • Title in Spanish and English

  • Author’s full name, email, ORCID iD, and short bio (max. 5 lines)

  • Abstract in Spanish and English (max. 150 words)

  • Keywords: 4 to 6, in both languages

  • Maximum length: 6,000 words

  • APA 7th edition references (up to 80 entries)

 

Perspectives

This section features reflective essays related to the issue's theme. Submissions must be original, unpublished, and peer-reviewed.

Specifications:

  • Title in Spanish and English

  • Author’s full name, email, ORCID iD, and short bio (max. 5 lines)

  • Abstract and keywords in both languages

  • Maximum length: 3,000 words

  • APA 7th edition references

 

Research

Includes short articles or research-in-progress reports focused on methodological or epistemological issues. Contributions must be original, unpublished, and peer-reviewed under a double-blind system.

Specifications:

  • Title, abstract, and keywords in Spanish and English

  • Author’s full name, email, ORCID iD, and short bio

  • Maximum length: 2,500 words

  • APA 7th edition references

 

Dossier / Working Papers

This section contains articles selected by the Editorial Board, mainly from associated publications (such as Working Papers and Ethics Notebooks). The same criteria for review, formatting, and evaluation as in regular articles apply.

Specifications:

  • Same requirements as the Articles section

  • Double-blind peer review

 

Reviews

This section is intended for critical commentary on books published within the last two years. Submissions must be analytical, well-argued, and academic. A high-resolution image of the book cover is mandatory. Reviews are not peer-reviewed.

Specifications:

  • Title in Spanish and English

  • Maximum length: 2,000 words (approximately 3 pages)

  • Author’s full name, email, ORCID iD, and short academic bio (max. 5 lines)

  • High-resolution image of the reviewed book cover

  • References in APA 7th edition

  • Complete technical information of the reviewed book: Author(s) — Publisher — Publication date — Language — Format and number of pages — ISBN

 

Letters

This section is intended for publishing correspondence submitted by readers or authors commenting on articles previously published in Perspectivas Metodológicas. The Editorial Board reserves the right to publish or respond. All letters must include the sender’s name, email, postal address, and phone number. The content is the sole responsibility of the authors and does not necessarily reflect the views of the Editorial Board.

 

Note: The publication of the Dossier and Letters sections depends on the availability of associated working papers, so their inclusion is not guaranteed in every issue.
