As of 2019, non-Spanish-speaking authors may submit papers in Portuguese or English. If accepted, the articles will be published in Spanish or bilingually in both Spanish and English. The journal will cover the costs of proofreading, editing, and distribution, and authors will be responsible for translation costs.

Since its inception in 2005, Salud Colectiva has worked to create an editorial space for critical thought in Spanish, which was consolidated as a channel of production not only in Spanish-speaking countries, but also in other regions of the world seeking to engage in dialogue with Spanish-speaking countries. In order to support and strengthen this exchange we propose that, regardless of the language of submission, articles that have been approved in external review processes be translated and published in Spanish or in a bilingual Spanish-English edition.

The journal's expanding networks of circulation generated the need to bring content produced in Latin America in communication with new situations and readers from other areas, including those who may be in non-English-speaking countries that have similar social problems. Thus, in 2011, Salud Colectiva initiated a bilingual Spanish-English publishing project in conjunction with the Undergraduate Program in Sworn Translation Studies English<>Spanish at the Universidad Nacional de Lanús, which over the years has enabled links to be established with translators who have broadened their experience in the field of collective health and their knowledge of the editorial guidelines of the journal through this joint work. We currently have a body of translators with extensive experience in the field of health, offering a specialized translation service (English-Spanish and Portuguese-Spanish), of high quality, at competitive prices for our authors. To learn more about the service or request an estimate, you can contact:

English-Spanish service | Spanish English: saludcolectivatraducciones@gmail.com

Salud Colectiva ensures a wide dissemination of both versions (Spanish and English), given that they are distributed electronically through indexing services, directories, national and international open access databases, social networks, etc., under the license Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0).

In addition, authors will be able to access the final versions of the publication in Spanish and English, to disseminate them in institutional repositories, personal blogs or any other electronic or printed media, as Salud Colectiva does not retain the rights of reproduction or copying (copyright).
