Summer Break

December 20, 2024, to February 3, 2025

Due to the summer break, no new submissions will be accepted from December 20, 2024, to Monday, February 3, 2025. During this period, the editorial team will focus on progressing with ongoing manuscript reviews, improving internal processes, and ensuring the quality and continuity of the editorial work that defines our publication.

This year, Salud Colectiva took an important step to enhance the reading and access experience for our articles. In addition to the traditional PDF files, articles are now published in a dynamic format that facilitates smoother and more versatile navigation. This makes it easier for researchers, students, and readers in general to interact with the content and access the articles from any device.

Another milestone this year was the acceptance of Salud Colectiva into PubMed Central, the full-text electronic library of the U.S. National Library of Medicine, one of the most important platforms for disseminating health sciences literature internationally. PubMed Central hosts over 10 million full-text articles and is accessed by more than 4 million users per week on average.

Over the past 20 years, Salud Colectiva has built a broad community of researchers from various regions of the world, fostering a critical perspective on social inequalities and the exclusion of diverse social groups, addressed through different disciplinary and thematic intersections. Being included in PubMed Central ensures the long-term preservation of this body of work, making it accessible on a global scale.

These advancements reflect our ongoing commitment to scientific quality with social engagement, fundamental pillars of an open-access journal that aims to promote global scientific exchange.

We appreciate the understanding of authors, reviewers, and readers during this break and invite you to resume submissions starting Monday, February 3, 2025. We remain committed to providing a journal that reflects the effort and dedication of our entire scientific community.

Thank you for your continued support, and we wish you an excellent start to 2025.
