Abstract

The 1940s witnessed deep changes in Argentina health care policies. This summary presents the proposal led in Santa Fe by Abelardo Yrigoyen Freyre, minister of Public Health and Labor between 1941 and 1943. This article emphasizes the need to deepen the study of both national and provincial processes of institutional change, starting from uniform concepts and categories, so as to enhance history's explanation capability through comparative analyses.
